Is Mazu Publishing
just a Scam?
|
|
Matt Gagnon, A self-proclaimed guru when it comes to business
advise for those looking to take their lives to a new level,
Matt Gagnon hosts the MAZU Publishing website. But while he
claims to have proprietary information you can only get from
him, much of the information he will take your hard earned
money for can actually be found all over the internet at no
cost.
If you go to Matt’s website,
you will see his Mazu Business Pack training kits he is
charging $315 for each of these kits. For that price you would
expect a professional presentation and a lot of useful
information, but you will likely be shocked if you drop a chunk
of change and then realize that you actually bought.
Inside the kit are a number of CD recordings of various
business conversations. These are not formal conversations, but
completely disorganized casual discussions that don’t flow or
follow any thought process that makes sense. In addition to the
illogical CD kit offerings, he is also selling a number of
overpriced books that are filled with a lot of fluff in little
information.
If you do a search using Matt’s name and the word scam, you
will likely see a lot of complaints from people all over the
place who have purchased Products from Matt’s site and have
ever since been trying to get refunds.
Once they realized there really wasn’t any useful
information in the expensive kits they purchased, they wanted
their money back, but neither Matt nor MAZU will honor their
guarantee, and are being called a rip off.
Not all of the complaints come from people who have
purchased the kits on the MAZU website, others relate to his
Mannatech company’s D.E.S.K system. It turns out this is just a
rip-off multi-level marketing scheme.
While it came with a 100% money back guarantee for those who
were dissatisfied, when people tried to cash in on that
promised refund they found they were asked a number of
questions to answer, and if they answered them wrong they were
denied.
Others were told the whole goal of the program was to help
them, and if they were not happy they would get their money
back, but when they called, conditions surrounding the money
back guarantee had changed and they were informed they no
longer qualified.
Even those who had heard about Matt’s questionable dealings
and tried to cancel their orders right after placing them were
denied and still lost their money.
The Better Business Bureau and FTC are on Matt’s tail as
well because of all the complaints that have been filed. The
Better Business Bureau also has been trying to help consumers
resolve a never-ending list of complaints, but they have not
been able to get resolutions.
Matt is not a good businessman. Quite the contrary. He is
actually awaiting trial on charges of malice, fraud and
oppression in federal court. When you see Matt Gagnon’s name,
remember the phrase ‘buyer beware’, and run the other way.
Matt Gagnon claims to be ‘retired’ but it looks more like
he’s hiding from the law and his victims. Matt is one clown we
don’t want to see re-enter the workforce …unless it’s on a
chain-gang where he belongs.
